A model of consistency, Mark Trauner soared through the 1985 season and picked up a Player of the Year title along the way.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Trauner earned a total of 765 points for his many achievements. These included a win at the Richardson Memorial, qualifying for the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur Championships, and staging one of the most exhilarating semi-final battles in Met Amateur history.
