Jim Turnesa (1959) – Woodmere

Jim Turnesa, the first of the famed Turnesas to win an MGA title, caught Shelley Mayfield with a third-round 69 that featured an eagle 3 on the fifth hole, a holed-out forty-yard approach, and three birdies over the last four holes, then out-dueled Mayfield 74-75 in the final round.
