Jerry Pitman (1968) – Inwood

Jerry Pitman won the Met Open title at Inwood with his 274 total eight strokes ahead of runner up Jimmy Wright.  Pitman set a new course record with a 65 in the third round.  During an 11-hole span in the final round, he and playing partner Wright carded an amazing 14 birdies! Pitman noted that “It was a great day from Oklahoma,” as he, Wright, and the third-place finisher all were born in the Sooner state.
