About George Zahringer (1985) – Mountain Ridge

“My mind made promises my body couldn’t keep,” said George Zahringer III after falling behind early.  But Zahringer came from four strokes down with a final round 68 that left him with a two-stroke victory.  In doing so, he became the third amateur to win the Met Open, and the first to win the Met Amateur and Met Open in the same season.
