George Low (1906) – Hollywood

Baltusrol professional George Low started with a 71 and led throughout the 72 holes, finishing with a 294 score over the 5,707-yard Hollywood links.  Alex Smith rallied to be second, albeit 10 strokes behind Low. The golf course was softened by heavy rains, and players often had to hit fairway shots with a niblick to get the ball out of plugged lies.
