About Bruce Zabriski (1993) – Quaker Ridge
Before the championship started, the consensus among the professionals was that even par would win over the tough Quaker Ridge course. But Bruce Zabriski equaled the course record 66 in the second round, then sealed victory with a 67 in the final round. Zabriski, who had played on the PGA Tour the preceding year, shot six-under-par 204, and beat Larry Rentz by four strokes. The victory was Zabriski’s fourth victory of the season in the Met Area.
