About Bob Bruno (1974) – Middle Bay
The Met Open was conducted for the first time at 54 holes in 1974, and was won by Bob Bruno of Pelham at seven under par golf. Howie Johnson was tied with Bruno after 36 holes, but took an 8 on the 10th hole when he hooked his drive out of bounds, then hit into water, and ultimately three-putted the green.
