Jerry Pitman (1965) – Woodmere

Jerry Pitman, the an assistant at Westchester Country Club, won top honors in 1965 with impressive rounds of 69-68-67-71=275, three strokes better than Jimmy Wright and Wes Ellis, as three of the leading local professionals pushed each other.  Wright, then an assistant at Winged Foot, made up 6 strokes on Pitman with a final round 65.
