John Stoltz (2005) – Old Westbury

John Stoltz shot a course-record 64 in the second round to take a three-stroke lead over several local professionals who had played in the PGA Championship at Baltusrol the week before.  But after five-putting the sixth green, Stoltz held off challenges from Mark Mielke, Darrell Kestner, and Craig Thomas, defeating the latter in a three-hole aggregate playoff with a birdie on the final hole.
