Danny Balin (2012) – Plainfield

Danny Balin of Burning Tree shot a final round 66 to overcome a seven-stroke deficit and steal the spotlight from 20-year-old Ryan McCormick and 15-year-old Cameron Young, amateurs who had made the headlines on the first two days of the championship.  Balin watched as McCormick three-putted the 18th green to fall out of a tie for the lead.
