Jack Hobens of Englewood not only won the Met Open, but he equaled the record of 71 for the Old Course at Baltusrol in the final round. Hobens’ score of 305 was one stroke better than Alexander Campbell from the Country Club at Brookline, and four better than St. Andrew’s professional Jock Hutchison, who also equaled the course record in the final round.
